About Us · Shell99
Shell99 is an online casino and sports betting platform built specifically for Malaysian users. From slots, live casino, and 4D lottery to EPL and badminton betting — we bring it all together in one platform that is secure, fast, and enjoyable.
Shell99 is not just another online casino platform that appears overnight and vanishes within a year or two. We are a company built with one clear purpose from day one — to deliver an online entertainment experience that truly fits the needs and tastes of Malaysian users.
The Shell99 story began in 2019. A small group of passionate individuals – drawn from the tech industry, financial services, and the entertainment sector – came together around one straightforward question: why didn't the online casino platforms available at the time truly feel "Malaysian"? Confusing interface languages, payment methods that weren't practical for local users, slow customer support that sometimes lacked local context – these were real problems faced by Malaysian players.
And so Shell99 was born — not as a foreign platform with a few local tweaks, but as one built from the ground up with a genuine understanding of how Malaysians play, how they pay, the language they speak, and the unique local entertainment culture. From seamless integration with Touch 'n Go eWallet and DuitNow for deposits that take just seconds, to 24-hour customer support in Bahasa Malaysia — every decision Shell99 makes is made with Malaysian users in mind.
Six things we do differently — and better — for Malaysian players
Behind the Shell99 name and an interface that might look like just another online entertainment platform, there is a guiding philosophy that has shaped every decision we've made from 2019 to today. It's simple: we have a responsibility to every person who places their trust in Shell99.
Our first responsibility is to trust. When someone registers a Shell99 account, deposits money, and plays — they are placing their trust in us. Trust that their money is safe. Trust that the games are fair. Trust that when they win, they will receive their winnings without drama or excuses. Shell99 takes this trust seriously. That is why we have never delayed a legitimate withdrawal without cause, never questioned a fairly won prize, and never imposed hidden charges that were not stated in the original terms.
Our second responsibility is to fairness. This means all Shell99 games use an RNG (Random Number Generator) system that has received independent certification from international auditing bodies. For live casino, we work exclusively with world-class providers such as Evolution Gaming, Playtech, and SA Gaming, each with decades of industry track record. There is no thumb on the scale — no way for any party, including Shell99 itself, to influence the outcome of a game once it has begun.
Shell99 understood early on that a successful online entertainment platform is about more than great games or generous bonuses. It's about connecting with a community. And the Shell99 community is Malaysia in all its diversity – from university students in the Klang Valley who enjoy slots on weekends, to business owners from Johor Bahru who unwind with a late-night baccarat session after a long day, to the uncle in Kuching who has faithfully played 4D lottery every week for years.
Shell99 aims to serve all these user segments and deliver an experience that is relevant to each of them. This includes an interface that first-time online casino users can navigate with ease — not just veterans who already know every technical term. Customer support that can help with a DuitNow deposit that hasn't come through in 5 minutes — not just advanced questions about RTP and slot volatility. Promotions that celebrate Malaysian occasions like Hari Raya and National Day, not just the same generic campaigns rolled out across every market.
On the technology side, Shell99 continuously invests in infrastructure to keep the platform fast and stable even during peak periods – such as big EPL match nights or weekend lottery draw times when traffic spikes sharply. Our servers are optimised for Malaysian users with low latency, meaning you won't experience the lag that offshore platforms with servers based in Europe might give you, whether you're playing live casino from Kota Kinabalu or Kuching.
The Shell99 VIP Rewards Programme is another way we show appreciation for our loyal members. Unlike VIP programmes on some platforms that exist in name only, Shell99's VIP system delivers real, measurable value. Every ringgit you spend on the platform earns VIP points. The higher your VIP tier – from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum through to Diamond – the greater the benefits you receive. Weekly cashback scales from 2% up to 15%, along with higher deposit limits, faster withdrawals, bigger birthday rewards, and for Diamond members, a dedicated personal account manager available 24/7.
Shell99 believes an informed player is a happier and more responsible one. That's why we publish actual RTP figures for every game, explain rollover requirements clearly before you claim any bonus, and give you full access to your transaction history within your account. No hidden terms, no surprise charges. We see this transparency as the foundation of the long-term trust Shell99 has built with over 300,000 members across Malaysia.
This is something Shell99 takes very seriously. We understand that entertainment platforms like ours carry significant influence over people's lives – and with that influence comes real responsibility. We recognise that a small number of players may develop issues with gambling, and for them, a platform like Shell99 can become a source of stress if not managed responsibly.
That is why responsible gaming is not just a page buried in our footer – it is our actual operating policy. Shell99 enforces a strict minimum age of 18, verified through the account registration process. We offer deposit limit features that let you set your own daily or weekly spending cap. The "cool off" feature lets you take a break from the platform for anywhere between 24 hours and 7 days without closing your account entirely. And the self-exclusion option allows you to temporarily or permanently disable access to your account whenever you feel it is needed.
The Shell99 team is also trained to identify signs of problem gambling and will proactively reach out to members if concerning play patterns are detected. If you or someone you know needs help with a gambling problem, Shell99 encourages you to contact the National Psychology Helpline at 15500 – a free service available 24 hours a day.
Shell99 is committed to protecting the privacy of all our members. All personal information is stored with 256-bit SSL encryption and is never shared with any third party without your consent.
